Certified Secure Communications

Spanish certification is a security certification awarded by the Spanish National Cryptologic Center (CCN). It verifies that our products meet rigorous security standards and are recognized as secure and reliable. The CCN is the national authority for cybersecurity and cryptography and is a department of the National Intelligence Centre (CNI) Spain’s main intelligence agency.

Receiving certification also means that our product will be approved for use by Spanish government agencies and listed in the CCN’s catalog of certified products and services.

The CCN certification process involved a comprehensive evaluation of our product's security features, including vulnerability analysis, functional testing, and compliance with established security criteria.

Sotera worked with an accredited, third-party laboratory to evaluate the SecurePhone’s security using the LINCE methodology with additional cybersecurity testing added on. LINCE is a certification methodology that the Spanish CCN developed to evaluate and certify the security of products. Sotera then chose to add additional cybersecurity testing because we felt it was important to demonstrate the security of our phone beyond what’s required of LINCE.

We reviewed every publicly available list of government-certified products in the EU and the United States and did not find another product comparable to the Sotera SecurePhone. There are no other phones certified to secure calls and texts that don’t require additional software or applications.
